Alexus Levant, a proud Atlanta native, is the visionary luxury apparel designer behind Levant Apparel, a brand redefining modern fashion through empowerment, innovation, and authenticity. Inspired by a rich family history of craftsmanship, creativity runs in Alexus’ blood. Her maternal grandfather and paternal grandmother were both skilled tailors, creating and altering garments with precision and artistry. Combined with the influence of her mother’s love for shopping and style and her grandmother’s talent as a painter, Alexus’ passion for fashion and design blossomed naturally.

Determined to make her mark, Alexus founded Levant Apparel in 2020 amidst the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic and the demands of military training. With limited resources and while living in barracks, she brought her dream to life, fueled by a desire to creatively express herself despite being in the rigid military environment and her hunger to empower women through her designs. Today, Alexus stands as the first Black woman veteran to own a luxury name brand, a trailblazer breaking barriers in the fashion industry.

The brand’s name, Levant, derived from her last name, means “levitate” in French and Spanish. It symbolizes the brand’s mission: to inspire women to aim higher and embrace the next level of their journeys with confidence and grace.

Levant Apparel quickly gained recognition with its bestselling Pillow Purse, a product that put the brand on the map. Along the way, Levant has worked with celebrity clients like Natti Natasha. Alexus specializes in designing women’s ready-to-wear apparel and accessories that reflect a seamless blend of elegance, empowerment, and modernity.

Although Alexus didn’t attend traditional fashion school, her commitment to learning led her to the Fashionpreneur Academy, where she honed her skills and developed her expertise. Her journey is a testament to resilience, passion, and the power of self-education.

As she continues to actively run Levant Apparel while serving in the military, Alexus remains dedicated to pushing boundaries, celebrating femininity, and creating timeless pieces that resonate with women across the globe. Levant Apparel exists to remind us all to aim upward—always.
